Okay…people who tell you not to eat bananas or grapes when you are on weight loss are not really junkies. They make some little sense but we need to figure out guys, figure out what it could mean. While I personally don’t like to avoid any food group unless it hinders my health on a wider extent. I am kind of that girl who believes in eating anything edible that pleases my tummy.Anything guys anything that pleases my eyes first and eventually tummy <3 We might be taste mates, Cheers to our unconditional love towards anything food<3 But during my initial weight loss I was so obsessed towards calories, counting and stuff like that which made me to research about different foods that can help me lose weight and also food that can hinder my weight loss. Now there is nothing in the world that can magically either make you lose weight or that can suddenly gain pounds (sure I have to recheck on this point :D)as it all depends on how well we know our limits on consuming anything. But it is quite important to know that calorie counting always matters though it should not become a blocker to a point where you cannot enjoy food that you are eating. Siri is my name and my game is to eat whatever I want.
I had several plans in my mind before starting my weight loss diet out of which I could adopt very easily without giving my love for food. One such is eating plenty of fruits that can fill up my tummy with less calories plus to give my skin a nice shine.Eating fruits is a very good choice not only for weight loss but to keep so many dreadful diseases away from you. Now don’t ask me how 😀 A discussion with one of my good old friend(who lost 28 kgs, me jealous jealous) has made me realise there are fruits that are high in calories and sugars just like any other food that you think are high in calories and so avoid. At the end of your meal, calories are calories, Aren’t they? Every thing counts when you are trying to lose weight. Let’s talk grapes for a whileI really love these bite sized tiny bits of juicy goodness, grapes are perfect to munch on as an afternoon snack or would be an apt choice to top up your morning oatmeal porridge, I find them great to even carry as a snack to anywhere as you do not need that peeling off business. My friends, they are a easy way to even munch on during driving(don’t do this guys, don’t actually do it) . But there are few things to be noted by all of us.
CARBS Grapes are in general high in carbs which is relatively higher than any other fruits that I consume.Take strawberries for example, a cup of them contains only 46 calories where as a cup of grapes contain 104 calories and contains carbs that are less than half of what grapes would have.Am with you , yes carbs are not bad for weight loss but remember we need our carbs in moderation.Over indulging of grapes could actually shoot up your carbohydrate intake which in turn will hinder your weight loss goals. Oh yes please mind your portions when enjoying that bowlful of grapes while watching the game. Sorted <3
SUGARS Naturally like carbs, sugars are also more in grapes. The best fruits for losing weight, in my opinion, are those with the highest amount of fibre and lowest amount of sugar. It is a common sense to think that high sugars can actually cause a spike in insulin levels that can store more fat in our bodies. So watch on friends, portion size matters a lot when you are aiming to lose weight.
WATCH PORTIONS No one ever got fat by eating grapes 😉 and they certainly help better than eating a bag of chips a day or something like that.If you really like grapes so much and can’t cut off those extra cup of grapes you think is extra there’s so much other stuff that you should cut out of your diet before you start cutting out your fav fruit that I don’t worry about it but it is always good to know about how many calories are going into your body while you are on a weight loss goal.. Don’t avoid grapes, now that you know what they can offer listen to your instinct on how you can limit your portions, yes these little tiny cuties are certainly not monsters 🙂
Here is a little chart on what a cup of grapes can offer in terms of numbers.Number game it is 🙂
